News Article | October 24, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Naren Gupta, a dedicated Board member and advisor to Infoworks. Naren passed away on Saturday December 25, 2021.

“Naren was one of our earliest investors and Board members. He embraced the vision of Infoworks, and made a tremendous contribution through his guidance, experience and insight. His intellect, intuition, and genuine kindness will be greatly missed,” said Buno Pati, Infoworks CEO. “Not only was Naren a colleague, he was also a friend. Myself and the entire Infoworks family extend our heartfelt sympathies to Naren’s family.”

Naren Gupta joined the Infoworks Board in 2015. He co-founded Integrated Systems Inc (ISI), a leading embedded software company, where he served as the President/CEO for fifteen years since founding in 1980. He took ISI public and subsequently merged it with Wind River Systems. Naren continued to serve on the board of Wind River until its acquisition by Intel. Naren founded Nexus Venture Partners and was a pioneer in the Indian venture capital market. He served on the boards of many public and privately held companies, most recently as the Chairman of the Board of Red Hat, Inc. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the California Institute of Technology and the Advisory Board of Asia Society Northern California.
